【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversstandardsamanufacturershallmeetinthedesigning,manufacturing,testing,labeling,anddocumentingofcryosurgicalmedicalinstruments,butitisnottobeconstruedasproductionmethods,qualitycontroltechniques,ormanufacturer''slotreleasecriteria,orclinicalrecommendations.1.2Thisspecificationrepresentsthebestcurrentlyavailabletestproceduresatthistimeandisaminimumsafetyandperformancestandard.1.3Thisspecificationcoversonlythosecryosurgicaldevicesintendedforuseonhumansoranimalsfortherapeuticpurposes.Thisspecificationassumestheuseriswell-trainedintheproceduresofcryosurgeryandhastheabilitytodetermineifanabnormalityistreatablebycryosurgery,particularlybythetypeofequipmenttobeused.1.4CryosurgicalmedicalinstrumentsproducelowtemperatureseitherinsideacryoprobeordirectlyonthetargettissuebytheprincipleofLatentHeatofVaporizationortheJoule-ThompsonEffect,orboth.Thecryogenmaybetransportedfromthesourceasaliquidoragas.Thesesystemsmaybeclosedoropendependingontheapplicationandcryogen.Intheopencryotipsystem,thecryogenisapplieddirectlytothetargettissue,whileintheclosedcryotipsystem,thecryogenisappliedindirectlyandisexhaustedawayfromthetargetarea.1.5Cryosurgicalmedicalinstrumentsareusedtoproducecryonecrosis,inflammatoryresponse,orcryoadhesion.1.6Monitoringtheprogressoftreatmentduringapplicationissometimesveryimportant.Suchmonitoringisdonebyaccessoriesthatindicatethetemperatureofthecryotiporthetargetareabeingfrozen.Thetemperatureofthetissuemaybemeasureddirectly(forexample,byathermocouple).Theseaccessoriesarealsocoveredbythisspecification.1.7ThefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytotheTestMethodportion,Sections8through13,ofthisspecification:Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
