【摘要】:Gaugecalibrationisconductedforthefollowingpurposes:ToensuregaugemeasurementrepeatabilitybetweengaugesTocorrectforelectronicandmechanicalchangesovertimeToadjustreadingsaftermajorservicetothegaugeToestablishapropercalibrationareaforgaugesToreducethechanceofimpropercalibrationNote18212;Thequalityoftheresultsproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofpracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithpracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassureameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thisguideoutlinesproceduresforsetupofnuclearmoisturedensitygaugeinshielded,MethodA,andunshielded,MethodB,configurations.1.2Thisguidedoesnotattempttodescribethecalibrationtechniquesormethods.Itisassumedthatthisguidewillbeusedbypersonsfamiliarwiththeoperationsofthegaugeandinperformingpropercalibration,serviceandmaintenance.1.3Thisguidedoesnotattempttoaddressmaintenanceorserviceproceduresrelatedtothegauge.1.4Thisguidedoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatesafety,andhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaprojectx2019;smanyuniqueaspects.Thewordx201C;Standardx201D;inthetitleofthisdocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughASTMconsensusprocess.1.6AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinpracticeD6026.1.6.1Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedinthedesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.
